Equipment/Furnishings – Parachute Equipment – Removal
from Service.
Manufacturer(s):
PARACHUTE SHOP
Applicability:
Parachute Harnesses type DUO 420, DUO TANDEM, MODULE,
VECTRA, VECTRA ECOLE, and VECTRA HDT2 Voltige; and
Parachute Reserve Canopies type ONYX 380 SECOURS, DUO 420
SECOURS, VEGA 120, VEGA 145, VEGA 180and VEGA 220,
manufactured by Parachute Shop company after 1st January 2001.
Reason:
The Parachute Shop company, without having any production
organisation approval, has manufactured and delivered parachute
equipment after January 1, 2001. For that reason, this equipment must be
considered NOT approved and must be withdrawn from service.
Effective Date:
17 September 2006
Compliance:
Following actions are made mandatory, unless already accomplished,
from the effective date of this AD :
Use in flight of the above mentioned equipments with a manufacturing
date after 1
st
January 2001 is PROHIBITED and the equipment must
therefore be removed from service.

Remarks :
1. If requested and appropriately substantiated the responsible EASA
manager for the related product has the authority to accept Alternative
Methods of Compliance for this AD.
2. This AD was posted as PAD 06-190 for consultation on 20 July 2006
with a comment period until 03 August 2006. No comments were
received during the consultation period.
